Small improvements....

I am reclining on my sofa as I type this.... not because I have everything done and have thus earned the right to relax for a few minutes, nor because I won the lottery and hired a maid to do all of my work for me... No, I am reclining on my sofa because I am sick! I suppose it's unavoidable when you've had three sick children coughing, sneezing and snotting on you for a week. I suppose it simply was inevitable that one or two of those germs was going to find a way in no matter how often I washed my hands. But I had hoped beyond hope.....
Ah well. I now am hoping beyond hope that I don't get it too badly, and that I can beat it quickly with the help of rest, vitamin C and some Zicam. At least my kids won't have to listen to me yell at them for a while; I've completely lost my voice.

Jaxson is still in bed quite sick. It's been 5 days for him now. Still running a fever of about 103 and feeling pretty terrible. We've also now missed 3 days of school, which is quite disappointing to me (although not to Jax!) because I really wanted to stay on track so that I could afford to take 2 weeks off when Lilah is born and still finish in the beginning of June. We had to take extra time off during the fires in California, and then 2 weeks when we moved back. Ah well, what will be will be, agreed?

Anyway, the title of this lovely post was "Small improvements" and so I will now stop whining and focus on those....
Ellie and Vance both got dressed today! They are both no longer running a fever, and seem to be much better. They're still coughing some, but it's improvement nonetheless. It proves that this illness IS beatable!

Please pray for us! We really need to get well, and Brady REALLY doesn't need to catch it. Especially because it seems to be a lower respiratory illness and with his asthma it would hit him very hard. He has a trip to San Diego planned for next week to do some jobs down there, so the timing would also not be good. So if you think of us poor, sick Campbell Clan, say a quick prayer okay? :>)

We kind of figured that since we no longer live in "sunny socal" that we should probably change our blog address....

I'll send an email when I get it changed, but I don't know if I have everyone's email address--so if you suddenly can't find our blog, and I know you all visit it daily because you LOVE to keep up with all of our exciting family happenings, and thus, not being able to visit would be devistating--just type in our new address and there we will be!

In other fun news, all three kids have been down with the flu since Wednesday. They've been pretty sick, poor babies, but I think that possibly they are coming out of it. Ellie is better enough to be a complete crank today, and Vance actually spoke about 5 words this morning! He was so sick yesterday i don't think he talked at all, just slept. And Jaxson is bugging me for a popsicle, so he's feeling better as well. Oh the joys of motherhood.

Christmas!

I'm finally getting around to posting Christmas pictures! I will blame this one on Brady though, because he had all of the pictures at the Studio and I couldn't get him to email them to me. :>)
We had a really nice holiday. Christmas Eve was spent with the Campbell family, and then Christmas day was spent with the Valentine family. It was very lovely, nice and quiet. We played scrabble, ate dinner and watched "It's a Wonderful Life" to wrap up the day.
Anyway, here are some pics of the kids on Christmas morning. Yes, they are unwrapping a giant ream of copy paper. Don't make fun, it was one of their favorite presents! They are really into art projects and having 500 sheets of their OWN paper was a big hit. They're already about halfway through it.
