And then there were 6.....

We're doing well adjusting to the new member of the family. She's so beautiful! She's keeping me busy though, and seems to think she needs to eat every 1 1/2 hours 24 hours a day, so we'll have to break her of that habit really soon. The kids are absolutely in love with her. (Especially the boys.) Vance keeps saying that he "likes the baby sister!". :>) It's very sweet.
My mom is here helping to take care of the family while I recover. I don't know what I'd do without her help!! (or what I'm going to do when she leaves on Monday). We appreciate her so much.
Okay, I have to go feed Lilah and take a shower.
Love to all.

Little Lilah Rose

Lilah Rose graced our presence at approximately 2:00pm on 2/22/08. She weighed a surprising 7lbs 7oz. Lani really did an award-winning job delivering such a beautiful new gift to our family. God is so good. The kids absolutely adore her and now I have two princesses to spoil rotten with "daddy love". To view many more beautiful pictures, go to www.bradycampbell.net and visit the client galleries tab. Just type in "lilah" (lower case) for the password, and share in our unforgettable experience. Thanks to all who visited, called, or just plain showered lilah with love during the hospital stay. It really means a lot to us.

Friday is the BIG DAY!

Yes, it is finally approaching. Only about 3 days before baby Lilah joins our family. Are we ready?? Probably not. But I AM ready to not be pregnant anymore!
Last Friday, Janelle threw a baby shower for me. Thankyou, Janelle, and everyone who came! We were given so many lovely things for the baby, and lots of diapers too! It was so much fun to get to see and visit with so many that I don't get to see often.
So this week, I am just trying to keep myself busy and distracted. It's wonderful to have a "date" for delivery and not to have to wait around indefinitely, but at the same time, it seems like it makes it so that all I can think about is the "big day". So distraction is important right now.
I had a huge list of things I wanted to accomplish this week, extra cleaning and organizing etc, but I had an abnormally productive day today and somehow managed to knock out the whole list! It must be all that nervous energy. So now I'm trying to come up with a new list.... :>p
We're having dinner with friends at The White House tomorrow night, and on Wednesday my friend Jill is coming over with her 5 kiddos to play and visit so that should be fun. I have a last appointment with my dr on Wednesday night, and then mom comes on Thursday night and we'll take the kids out to my sister's to spend the night. I'll distract myself with a little "Lost" that night, I suppose. :>)
We will have Wi-Fi at the hospital, so we'll update the blog as soon as the baby makes her appearance!
Cheers!

A (long) week in review

Why is it that time goes by so much more slowly when you are alone?
Brady has been in SD this week. He left on Tuesday and won't return until Monday night. The kids miss him, and I miss him!
I'm afraid I couldn't have a husband who traveled for work all the time, I'm simply too selfish. I miss adult conversation. :>P

On the bright side, Jessica has been up this week visiting, and so she and Tricia were able to come and spend a night with me. It was a lot of fun to have a "girls" night. At least it was for me. I'm sure they were bored out of their minds, but I get so little time to just "hang out" with girlfriends so I really enjoyed it. We watched "Lost", ate bananna splits and watched a movie until late into the night. (Well, once again, "late" for me is probably early for them!) :>) On Friday I had a Doctor's appointment, grocery shopped and attended a Baby Shower for Jess. Shan stayed the night with me so that she didn't have to drive home late after the shower and we stayed up late talking again! So I'm very tired!

The countdown for baby continues, only 13 more days! I am trying to stay distracted and busy for the next 13 days so I don't feel like it's dragging by. Valentines day is next week, so I'm planning Pink Breakfast, of course, and to make cookies with the kids. I also want to make a nice dinner for Brady when he comes home on Monday. On Friday Janelle is giving me a baby shower! I'm excited, it will be a lot of fun and nice to see several people that I don't get to see very often.

My 29th birthday was on the 4th. I'm now officially in my final year as a "twenty-something". Brady and I went to dinner with friends, and then went to see a movie. It was so nice! We realized that it was the first time we'd been out together in over 6 months!

Well, tomorrow is "church day", as the kids call it, so I should sign off and get some sleep.

Love to all!
