Here are a couple of pics that Janelle sent of the kids. They were taken when Janelle and the boys came to visit a few weeks ago.
It seems like we've had a busy week this week. On Saturday we did take the kids to Seaworld in the evening. We sat where DADDY wanted to sit during the Shamu Rocks show and in spite of his insistance that we would not get wet, we of course did! :>) But it was still very fun.
On Thursday, my grandma Bessie came to town to visit for a while. Yesterday, she and my mom, along with the kids and I, went to the Scripps Aquarium. Afterwards we stopped and had an early dinner at Denny's. Than the kids and I watched a movie since Daddy was working late. Today, I've been doing laundry and making granola. I was thinking about making a tortilla soup for dinner even though I normally don't "make" dinner on saturdays because I claim it as my "day off". But tortilla soup just sounds really good. It's still a bit rainy and cloudy and soup always sounds good to me on rainy days.
Now why is that......
Well, Hope all is well with all of your families.
Thanks for keeping in touch!
Love, Lani

Another week in the books....

My beautiful hour......
They're all asleep. Which means one beautiful hour to myself.
Not that I'm doing anything important. I'm actually sitting on the couch, eating tortilla chips and watching "Philadelphia Story". I love that movie. Can you get a better combination than Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart? I think not.
Today is Saturday, Mommy's day off. :>) When Brady get's home from work we are probably going to take the kids to Sea World for the evening shows again. I think that we are going to play hooky from church tomorrow (gasp!) and watch the service online. We are really really really needing an actual day off, where we go nowhere and do nothing.
Well, I suppose I should sign off for now.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Love, Lani

Funny Girl....
Just a cute little ante-dote.
Yesterday while the kids and I were at the playground we were doing "Jumping-Jacks". I thought nothing of the name until this evening Ellie started saying, "Mommy, look at me! I can do Jumping-Ellie's!" She thought that we were doing "Jumping-JAX" yesterday! They say the funniest things sometimes......

Happy Easter!
We hope all of you had a wonderful ressurection day! We had a great church service at Maranatha, and a lovely easter dinner at mom's house afterward. Bill and Jessica are both out of town so it was just mom and jerry, along with our family. It was quiet but very nice. Mom made a delicious Lamb roast with Rosemary sauce! It was so good.
The kids colored eggs on Friday and hunted for them on Easter. Even Vance got into the action!
I had a funny experiance in Friday as well.....
I had gotten together with a friend of mine for coffee. She's pregnant with her first child and we've been trying to get to know one another a bit better. We sat down at Starbucks (the only coffee shop in San Diego, they don't know what good coffee is down here. But I digress.....) Anyway, we chatted for a few minutes and suddenly my friend looks at me and says "Lani, my water just broke!" Poor girl!! She was ready to jump in the car and drive herself home (probably a 30 min drive) but I suggested she call her husband and wait for him to come get her just in case her contractions started while she was driving. (I don't think anyone would want to be in labor on the I-5 freeway!) I waited with her of course until her husband came and took her home to wait the delivery of their child! It was funny, I've never actually been with someone when they went into labor! :>)
Well, I should get on with my busy day! The kids all had an overnighter at grandma's last night and I'm heading over to clean house...... and rescue her. Love and miss you all, Lani and Brady, Jax Ellie and Vance

The Campbell's April Visit

Janelle, Alex and Scott were able to come visit for a few days last week while Dave was in Mexico on a mission trip. Here we all are at the beach enjoying the heat and sunshine! We let Alex borrow Ellie's wetsuit for the day and they had a great time in the sand and waves. After we played we walked around the village in La Jolla and just looked at all the pretty houses and buildings.
On Sunday evening, Brady and I took Janelle and Scott to our favorite sushi resturaunt, Kabuki's. Unfortunately, I don't think they liked the food, but hey, at least we made them try! On Monday we all hung out at the pool at our house until Brady got off work, and then we packed up the kids, met with Jerry and Jessica and my mom, and went to Sea World for the new Night-time Shows. We saw two great shows, Sea Lions Tonite and Shamu Rocks, watched the big fireworks display and then brought four tired kids home to bed. It was a lot of fun. They left on Tuesday to join Dave in Mexico.
When Janelle sends me more pics of the kids I will post them!

In like a Lion, Out like a lamb
Well, March is almost over and I can hardly believe it. I feel terrible for not keeping in touch better with all of you-sometimes I feel like life just takes over! I'm hoping this will work out better than the website did, I simply didn't have time to always be updating and checking that....all this takes is a quick click and it's like emailing everyone! So keep checking back, I'll be writing each week. (I promise!!)
We are all doing well. We've really enjoyed the weather this winter. It is absolutely beautiful. We're having a slight cold spell this week, however it should be sunny and warm again by the weekend when Janelle and Alex come to spend a few days! We're looking forward to their visit, we just wish it could be longer.
On Friday of last week the kids and I took a day and went to the zoo. We packed a picnic lunch and just hung out for the day. It was really fun. We so appreciate the gift of the Zoo and Sea World passes that we received from Mom and Bill this Christmas. We've already enjoyed them so much!
Most of you probably know that we moved recently. We were able to find a three bedroom apartment (we were in a two bed) in a GREAT neighborhood for less than we were paying before. We are really enjoying our new place-and bed times have been so much easier since the kids are no longer all sharing a room!
Please keep in touch as everyone's lives are constantly changing! I was reminded by the photo Janelle sent today that we have another nephew on the way..... any names yet ? :>)
Have a wonderful week!
